have developed a system which allows a company track prices for
numerous products from various suppliers. The purchasing manager
simply exports a spreadsheet for each sector sectors. This is then
sent to suppliers who fill out their prices for these products and
return the spreadsheet. These prices are then imported into the
database and a "Preferred Supplier List" is issued to
all offices, detailing where items should be purchased and at what
price.
The
system significantly reduced the workload associated with managing
the purchasing process and has brought tangible benefits to companies.
