TimeTrace - Time Recording System

Labour is the major cost in most manufacturing companies. Where staff are working on a number of projects at the same time, management need to know how much time was spent on each project to ensure that appropriate charges are applied to each job. Where staff are paid at different rates it is important to know the true cost of the labour content of the job (including overhead charges).

We have developed a very easy to use Time Recording System called TimeTrace where staff record their hours against each job by simply touching the screen to indicate which job they were working on and which task they were carrying out and the time spent on it. From this information, management can produce reports which helps them analyse the true cost of labour on each job and to identify whether their assumptions on the time taken for each task is correct. It also provides clock-in and clock-out facilities for attendance recording.

One customer using the system achieved an 8% increase in productivity through effective use of the information provided by TimeTrace.
